Episode 0129—Can-ABE-bal
Dec 24, 2021 • E129 • 01:12:20
In 1846, Donner Party set out on their ill-fated trek across the continent to California facing challenges, starvation, and other hardships with almost half of the original contingent dying in route and rumors of desperate acts being undertaken to survive.
Few know of the connection that future president Abraham Lincoln had to the group and how he and his wife were invited to be part of the group and their move to California.
How would history have been different if Abe had chosen to head to California?
Eric Bond joins the episode to discuss the topic he suggested.
